Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration is out worldwide: what PH players should know

The Pokémon TCG turns 30, and the party set is here. 30th Celebration launched on September 16, 2026, on the same day worldwide, the Philippines included. It has more than 150 cards, and Pokémon’s announcement highlights three things to look for:
- Day and night art: illustrations showing Pokémon taking over the world by day and by night;
- Pikachu rares: a run of Pikachu cards at higher rarities;
- The Classic Collection: reprints of iconic cards from the game’s 30-year history.

Can you play these cards in tournaments?
Main-set cards: yes. Classic Collection: no. A Kaiomics report citing Pokémon’s announcement says main-set 30th Celebration cards became legal for Play! Pokémon tournaments on September 25, 2026, and that Classic Collection cards aren’t tournament legal at all.
That second part catches people out, because the Classic Collection cards come in the same packs. They’re great for binders, but keep them out of your tournament deck. We haven’t seen the official legality notice ourselves, so check the Play! Pokémon rules or ask your organizer before a sanctioned event.

The same report says everyone who logs into Pokémon TCG Live after the launch gets a Mew ex Battle Pass deck, and a Sylveon ex deck can be earned by playing. That’s an easy way to try the set’s new cards before buying.
Price and availability in the Philippines
There’s no official peso price from a PH distributor, and we won’t guess one. Prices will vary from shop to shop, so compare a few in our store directory before you buy, and be wary of resellers pricing sealed product far above what local stores charge.
